He made it!!

Well it wasn't easy, but Chris made it home. He flew out from Houston to Oakland without any delays or problems. Then his flight into Spokane was first delayed and then canceled. After waiting in line forever to talk to someone with Southwest Airlines he was able to get a flight into Seattle in the hopes that he would be able to get a flight to Spokane on Friday. Unfortunately he wasn't able to get a flight out until Sunday. So we checked the bus routes and everything was booked and we were told the trains would not be a good idea. So the next idea was to rent a car and he would drive home. The only problem with that is Chris's license was expired and you can't rent a car with an expired license. So how is he going to get home before Sunday?

Well when Chris was in Oakland waiting for a flight home he met a gal from Spokane. This gal had a few seasons of Friends on DVD so she let Chris watch with her. They ended up on the same flight to Seattle where this gal was meeting up with her father. Her father is a heart surgeon who was traveling from Minneapolis with a couple sales people for some medical supply company. Turned out that the woman sales-person lived just a couple blocks from my parents and they all became friends with Chris. They decided that they didn't want to wait around until Sunday to get a flight home either so they rented a car and invited Chris to join them on their way home. He left Houston early Thursday morning and after two airplane rides and a very long car ride he made it home Friday morning around 11 am. The boys and I are very happy to have him home and Chris seems happy to be home as well. Needless to say Chris and I both are pretty tired from this whole thing. Chris is tired because the trip was incredibly long and me because I just couldn't seem to get any sleep until I knew my husband was safe at home.

Thank you all for your concern and for your prayers.

Snow Storm

It started snowing yesterday morning and has been snowing ever since. This is what I saw when I opened my back door this morning.

The trees around my house are covered in snow and we are suppose to expect another 15 to 20 inches today! Crazy!!
Here is Chris's little Volkswagen truck and can you see my car in the back? Chris is suppose to be flying into Spokane tonight. I just hope he can get in. They say it's suppose to stop snowing this afternoon and they expect to have all the major roads and highways plowed by 7 tonight. I just pray that it all works out and Chris can make it home tonight.

Merry Christmas from Orchard Center Elementary

This concert was put on by the kindergartners and 1st graders at Orchard Center. I got there about 20 minutes early and was still stuck in the very back. It was crazy. I couldn't believe how many people were there for the concert.
Hyrum's class was down in front. Hyrum is on the bottom row on the left end right next to his teacher Mrs. Abel. He did such a good job singing the songs in the beginning.
Towards the middle though he started to lose interest. It was pretty fun watching him. He did however join in for the last song, "We Wish you a Merry Christmas". That was his favorite song. All the kids did a great job and everyone looked so cute.

Shopping for baby girl

This is the blanket that goes to the bedding for our baby girls crib. Isn't it beautiful!

I just loved these bodysuites I got Arah's baby and had to have them for mine!

Don't you just love this little sundress and matching shoes!

I just couldn't help myself. Everything was so cute. I was just so excited to be shopping for my own little girl.

Baby News

Chris and I were talking last night about what I might be having. Chris was convinced that it was going to be a boy. I on the other hand had no idea. I was too scared to hope for a girl. At least I was to scared to admit that I was hoping for a girl. So today when I was in having me ultra-sound and the gal said that I was going to have a little girl I could hardly believe it. I had to have her check again just to make sure before I could let myself get too excited. So it's official I am going to have a girl!!! I am so excited. I can hardly wait to go shopping. I would have posted some of the ultra-sound pictures buy my little girl is a little shy and we could get any pictures of her face, we were lucky to even be able to find out that she was a girl. She does have some very cute legs and arms though!! I'll have to post pictures of her nursery once it's all done!! Thank you for all the girlie thoughts and prayers. They worked!! Now let's just hope she looks a little more like me and a little less like Chris! :-) Also if you have any good ideas on old fashioned names I'd love to hear them. Right now we like Evelyn Rae and we would call her Evie. What do you all think?
